In January 2008 I took a “walk” with our retreat speaker, Keri Wyatt Kent. The walk was on two treadmills, but while we powered it out, we talked about ministry life as women and moms. That friendship and our passionate conversation about speaking, teaching and writing sparked something in me. A few months later, I returned to an old love of mine: writing.
Of course, when you write, you have to have something to say. Hmm, check that off the list: talking is high on my list of enjoyable activities. So my blog, The Stubborn Servant, was born. Book ideas started bouncing around my head like a turbo racquetball, waking me up at night, creating a passion to write…and write…and write.
